CSIR UGC NET December 2025 Answer Key Out: The last date to challenge the provisional answer key is tomorrow, January 1, 2026 up till 11 pm.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CSIR UGC NET December 2025 provisional answer key on December 30. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now download the provisional answer key and their response sheets through the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in.
The last date to challenge the provisional answer key is tomorrow, January 1, 2026 up till 11 pm. Candidates will be required to pay a fee of Rs 200 per question challenged. To raise an objection, candidates must provide adequate evidence to support their claim. All challenges will be reviewed by a panel of subject-matter experts, and if any changes are found to be valid, they will be incorporated into the final answer key.
CSIR UGC NET 2025 Provisional Answer Key: How To Raise Objection?
Step 1: Visit the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the December 2025 provisional answer key link.
Step 3: In the newly opened tab enter your application number and date of birth.
Step 4: Once submitted, the provisional answer key will appear on your screen, download it.
Step 5: Click on the ‘Challenge’ button to view and challenge the answers.
Step 6: The ID next to the “Correct Option” column represents the correct answer used by NTA. Select the checkboxes for any answers you wish to challenge.
Step 7: Upload supporting documents for your claim by clicking the ‘Choose File’ option.
Step 8: Click ‘Submit and Review Your Claims’ to view all the questions you have challenged.
Step 9: Pay the fee and download the confirmation page

“The Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by a panel of subject experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Key, the result will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge. The Key finalised by the Experts after the Challenge will be final. Candidates are advised to visit NTA Official Website: csirnet.nta.nic.in for latest updates,” reads the official notice.
The exam was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode on December 18, 2025 for a total of for 2,12,552 candidates.
