The seat-sharing formula for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections has been finalised by the Mahayuti alliance, bringing clarity ahead of nominations.
Under the agreement, the BJP will contest 137 seats, while Shiv Sena will field candidates in 90 seats.
Both parties will also accommodate their respective alliance partners by allocating seats from their allotted quotas.
Mumbai BJP president Ameet Satam confirmed the development, stating that coordination among partners has been completed.
Following the distribution of AB forms, candidates from both parties are set to file their nominations on Tuesday.
The finalised arrangement is expected to streamline campaign planning and ensure a coordinated fight in the civic polls, with leaders emphasising unity.
This is a developing story. It will be updated.
