Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief and actor Vijay was heckled by the crowd at the Chennai airport in Tamil Nadu. The actor slipped and fell while sitting in the car.
The incident happened when Vijay was heading towards the exit area of the airport after returning from Malaysia. During this time there was a huge crowd around him. Just before sitting in the car, when the crowd increased, he lost his balance and fell.
Immediately after the incident, the security personnel handled him and helped him sit in the car. Vijay had attended the audio launch program of his film ‘Jannanayakan’ in Malaysia. This film will be his last film. The actor has announced his retirement from acting career on Sunday.

50 thousand tourists arrived in one day to see the White Rann of Kutch in Gujarat.

The world famous White Rann in Kutch, Gujarat is buzzing with tourists these days. Due to New Year holidays, tourists from India and abroad as well as students on school tour are reaching Dhordo in large numbers.
An estimated 50 thousand tourists reached Safed Rann from morning till night on Sunday. Tourists enjoyed the cultural programs, laser light show on the watch tower and folk culture of Kutch.
Apart from this, tourists are likely to increase further in the coming days due to New Year and Paush Purnima on 3 January 2026. Due to Rann Utsav, all the hotels and resorts of Dhordo, Tent City and Bhuj are housefull.
Kutch appears white due to the drying of sea water and the thick layer of salt left behind, which dries up after the monsoon and turns into a vast, bright white saline desert, called the White Rann.
Strictness of Delhi Traffic Police before New Year, about 24 thousand challans in a day

Ahead of New Year celebrations, Delhi Traffic Police conducted a strict checking campaign across the city on Sunday. During this period, a total of 23,985 challans were issued for violation of traffic rules in one day. According to officials, 19,227 of these challans were issued in cases of overspeeding and red light jumping.
During special checks in different areas on December 27, 226 challans were issued for drunken driving. In this campaign, 86 challans were issued for dangerous driving, 2,194 for not wearing a helmet, 266 for triple riding, 1,941 for driving in the wrong direction and 45 for installing black film (tinted glass).
With the help of Over-Speed Violation Detection (OSVD) and Red-Light Violation Detection (RLVD) cameras, 13,833 e-challans for overspeeding and 5,394 for jumping red light were issued.
32 lakh people removed from voter list in Bengal turn out for hearing, action continues for second day at 3,234 SIR centers

The hearing under Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter list in West Bengal continued for the second day on Sunday. Long queues of people remained in front of 3,234 centers in the state. In the first phase, those 32 lakh people whose names were not found in the voter list of 2002 are being heard.
Such people are being called ‘unmapped voters’. Only such people are being called in the first phase of hearing. In the draft list released by the Election Commission after SIR on December 16, names of more than 58 lakh voters were removed due to various reasons.
On the other hand, BLO Haradhan Mandal died under suspicious circumstances under the pressure of work in Raniband, Bakuda. Trinamool Congress (TMC) has alleged that the Election Commission is committing atrocities on the elderly and disabled in the name of SIR.
TMC MP Partha Bhowmik said, the elderly have to stand in queues for hours in Election Commission camps away from their homes. The Commission should go to the homes of such people.
