Government Shooter in Bihar: A sharp shooter has been roaming freely in Bihar for the last five days, that too with a government gun. This shooter has made 26 kills so far. And it is difficult to say how far the counting will go. That hunter is still camping there. But this has again raised a question. The question is the same old whether it is right to shoot dumb animals. And the question is also whether it is justified for humans to suffer harm due to animals. Let us tell you the whole story of hunting and hunter.

When the lion becomes a man-eater, it is shot. When a man is no longer an Adam, he is given death. This is a strange and unique game of life and death, punishment and mercy between humans and animals. It is up to the individual to decide when, how and whose life to kill and who to save. For yourself as well as for the animals. For example Bihar Take this most recent picture from.

Hunter is ready for hunting in Bihar. Along with the hunter, there are also law enforcers. Because the law itself has given him permission to hunt. Eyes sharp and aim accurate. There he saw the prey and here he pressed the trigger. In the blink of an eye the prey is on the ground. And with this the death of another animal. Another Nilgai exterminated. Perhaps with the death of this Nilgai, the count of the hunt that has been going on for the last few days has now crossed 26. That means this legal or government hunter has till now shot 26 Nilgai.

But why? After all, why have orders been given to shoot these dumb animals on sight? Why are they being shot while running around? Is hunting of Nilgai legal? Does it not come in the list of protected animals? And the biggest question is whether Nilgai is a cow? Or is it just a cow in name only?

Obviously there is a reason behind this shoot and sight order issued in the name of a Nilgai. Overall, the bottom line is that when the hunters are from the government, then how can the lives of these voiceless people be saved? And if they are spared and left free, then the stove of many houses goes out. That means the fight is directly between man and animal. Now you decide who is right and who is wrong. It is also not right to waste a year’s hard work of a person. So the way of living of these animals also cannot be called correct. So is the solution only their death?

from Bihar Nawada Area, where farming is done on a large area. And a large number of Nilgai also live here on a large area. It has been happening for years that as soon as the crops stand, herds of Nilgai raid the fields and destroy them. This issue of farmers is so serious that due to the fear of Nilgai, many farmers have stopped planting new crops. Started shying away from even growing vegetables.

There is no dense forest around in this entire area. Therefore, all the Nilgai are mostly around the population and consider open areas as their home. Now it’s okay till now. But the problem is that when these blue cows come out in herds, they create havoc in farm after farm. It ruins everything from crops to vegetables. Till now, home remedies were being tried to drive away the Nilgai, which had become the enemy of the farmers. Farmers started guarding the crops day and night with sticks. Tried to drive away the Nilgai by bursting crackers or making noise, but whenever the herd of Nilgai attacked the fields. So what is the crop and what is the farmer. Doesn’t spare anyone.

The fear of Nilgai is such that farmers are not able to eat even their own grown vegetables. Especially the farmers are very sad due to the trouble that Nilgai has created here in the last four-five years. The reason is that they grow crops with full hard work and dedication. But when the time comes to harvest the crop, the Nilgai destroys everything. Due to this wastage, many farmers now want to give up farming.

Initially the farmers tried to deal with the Nilgai themselves. But the problem was that whenever the blue cows raided the fields, they would vocalize in herds. According to the farmer, there are usually more than 30 Nilgai cows in a herd. And two or three such herds of Nilgai are present in their area. But despite all efforts, when the fields, barns and crops kept getting ruined, the farmers approached the heads of the nearby villages. After this the chief contacted the DM of the area and the forest department officers. Ultimately the Forest Department itself decided to call the shooter to deal with the problem of Nilgai. Shooter means government hunter.

As soon as the government order was received, the famous shooter Mohammad Qayyam Akhtar and his team from Magadh area of Bihar were called. Qayyam Akhtar has been visiting the village early in the morning with his team for the last four-five days. The team has complete arrangements to deal with the Nilgai. As soon as his team gets information from the villagers about a herd of Nilgai, he immediately sets out for the mission with his telescope rifle. In the last four days alone, they have already killed 26 Nilgai.

With the arrival of shooter Qayyam Akhtar, the fear of Nilgai has reduced a little but has not completely ended. That is why this government hunt of Nilgai is expected to continue for the next few days. Hunting permission has been given by the Central Government for a total of 31 districts of Bihar. Where according to an estimate, the number of blue cows has reached 50 thousand in the last 10 years. The reason for the increase in the number of blue cows is that till now they are considered to be in the category of protected animals. Till now killing blue cows was a crime. Due to which the number of blue cows kept increasing. But now in Bihar too, with some rules, Nilgai cows have been taken out of the protected category. However, experts hold humans responsible for the terror of blue cows.

After all, what is Nilgai? Is this a cow? Or is there any species of cow? Why has Nilgai been kept in the category of protected animal? Why is it a crime to kill it? If anyone causes the most damage to crops in the country, especially in the entire North and Central India, it is the Nilgai. According to an estimate, every year farmers suffer a loss of Rs 50 to 75 crores due to Nilgai. But most of the farmers do not kill Nilgai because firstly, killing it is a crime and secondly, cow is associated with its name. That is, Nilgai is one of the few lucky creatures of India who get protection due to religious beliefs. Since the word cow is associated with its name, people do not kill it considering it to be a cow’s sister.

Whereas the reality is that there is nothing like a cow in Nilgai. According to wildlife experts, Nilgai is not a cow but an animal of deer species. At present there are about one lakh Nilgai in the entire country. In Bihar, UP, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand, Nilgai damages the standing crops the most and attacks farmers when found alone. Nilgai is also a major reason for road accidents in rural areas.

Nilgai also graze grass and eat leaves of bushes. When she gets a chance, she also attacks crops. He likes to eat plum fruits very much. She also eats Mahua flowers with great enthusiasm. Nilgai has good sense of smell and vision. But the ability to hear is weak. Even on rough ground, she can run as fast as a horse and for long distances without getting tired. He doesn’t like living in dense forests.

Hunting of Nilgai is difficult because Nilgai remains very alert even while grazing or resting. To relax, they choose open ground and lie down with their backs to each other. While lying down, at least one member of the herd keeps a watch on every direction. When she sees any danger, she immediately stands up and starts calling in a low voice. However, Nilgai is still a protected animal in India. But in many countries Nilgai hunting is still done openly.
