Automobile company Hero Moto Corp has earned a net profit (standalone net profit) of Rs 1,122.63 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2024-25. It has increased by 36.12% on an annual basis. The company had a profit of Rs 824.72 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

Talking about the standalone revenue from the company’s operations, it was Rs 10,143.73 crore in the April-June quarter. It has increased by 15.69% on an annual basis. In the same quarter a year ago, the company had generated a revenue of Rs 8,767.27 crore. The amount received from selling goods and services is called revenue.

2. IRCTC profit rises 32.75% to Rs 308 crore: Revenue rises 11.88% in Q1, company gives 41% return in a year

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) reported a 32.75% year-on-year (YoY) rise in its profit to Rs 308 crore in the first quarter (April-June) of FY 2024-25. The consolidated net profit was Rs 232 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

The company’s revenue has increased by 11.88% on an annual basis. Revenue from operations in the first quarter of FY25 stood at ₹1,120 crore. Revenue was ₹1,001 crore in the same quarter a year ago. IRCTC released its first quarter results today i.e. on 13 August.

3. Gold prices rise, silver slips: Gold rises ₹482 to ₹70,372, silver falls ₹526 to ₹80,598 per kg

Gold prices have seen a rise on August 13. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), on Tuesday, 10 grams of 24 carat gold rose by Rs 482 to Rs 70,372. Yesterday its price was Rs 69,890 per ten grams.

However, one kg silver has fallen by Rs 526 to Rs 80,598 per kg. Earlier yesterday, silver was at Rs 81,124 per kg. This year, gold has reached an all-time high of Rs 74,222 per 10 grams in May. On the other hand, silver reached its all-time high of Rs 94,280 per kg on 29 May.

4. Interarch Building Products IPO will open on August 19: Investors can bid till August 21, minimum investment ₹ 14,400

The Initial Public Offer (IPO) of Interarch Building Products Limited will open on August 19. Investors will be able to bid for the IPO till August 21. The company’s shares will be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on August 26.
