Superstar Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan received the first award of his career on Friday. He received this honor for his directorial debut web series The Bads of Bollywood. While receiving the award, Aryan said that he also likes awards like his father, but he dedicated this honor not to his father but to his mother.

He received this honor at the NDTV Indian of the Year event held in New Delhi on Friday. He was given the Best Debut Director of the Year award. His maternal grandmother Savita Chhibber was also present with him on this occasion.

In his speech after receiving the award, Aryan said that he first wants to thank the cast, crew of his web series and Netflix, who trusted a new director and worked with him with full hard work and dedication.

Aryan further said, “This is my first award and I hope that I will get many more awards because like my dad, I also love awards, but this award is not for him. This award is for my mother because my mother always tells me to sleep early, not to make fun of people and not to abuse at all and today I have received this award for all these things. Thank you for making my mother the happiest woman in the world and I know I will get a little less scolding when I go home today.”

Aryan entered the industry as a director with the web series The Bads of Bollywood, released on September 18. The series is a satire based on the Hindi film industry, which has received a good response from the audience.
