For this he took admission in Ankara State Conservatory and secured first place in the piano department. Gradually Bergen’s music became famous throughout Turkey, but it had yet to reach great heights.
His financial condition was not good, so he left his studies and started working in the Federal Post Office (PTT) of Turkey. Meanwhile, in 1977, news emerged that Bergen had married and had children. However, the family termed these news as mere rumours.

Bergen often went to nightclubs with friends. One night when she was at a club with friends and singing, the club owner liked her voice so much that he offered Bergen a permanent gig. Bergen immediately accepted it.
He started singing Turkish classical music and pop by joining club bands. There was so much sweetness in his voice that the audience was mesmerized. Gradually he started getting the success that everyone desires.

Bergen also gradually started getting attracted towards her and their relationship developed. Halis wanted to start a new life by marrying Bergen. Bergen was a little hesitant at first, but eventually agreed. The two married, but the marriage proved to be a sham and Bergen felt betrayed.
Eventually Bergen decided that she would move away from Hallis. However, Halis would not let them go. Gradually, Hallis also started domestic violence, which made Bergen’s life like hell. In such a situation, he decided to leave Halis and return to Ankara to his mother.
In Ankara Bergen decided to restart his career. He named himself Bergen after being inspired by the Norwegian city Bergen, whereas his real name was something else. He started singing in nightclubs again and shared the stage with many well-known celebrities.
There was such magic in Bergen’s voice that the whole of Ankara was drawn towards him. His life started changing and his unfulfilled dreams started coming true, but somewhere in his mind there was both fear and love for Halis. Bergen hoped that maybe that would change one day. However that day never came. On the other hand, Hallis continued to stalk Bergen and threaten to kill him.
