Actress Shraddha Kapoor is currently working on her upcoming film Itha. The film is a biopic of famous Lavani dancer and tamasha artiste Vithabai Bhau Narayangaonkar. The shooting of the film was going on in Aundhewadi near Nashik, Maharashtra.
Now a report in Mid Day regarding the shooting of the film has claimed that last week director Laxman Utekar had to stop the shooting because Shraddha suffered a fracture in a toe of her left foot. She got injured when she was performing a Lavani dance scene.
A source said that Lavani music has fast rhythm and fast steps. This song has been composed by composers Ajay Gogavale and Atul Gogavale. Shraddha was going to be seen in bright Nauwari saree, heavy jewelery and waist band in this song. She had gained about 15 kg to play the role of young Vithabai. In one of the dance steps, he put all his weight on his left leg and lost his balance, due to which he got injured.

Shraddha Kapoor was last seen in the film Stree 2, which was the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year 2024.
After Shraddha’s injury, Laxman Utekar canceled the shooting schedule of Nashik. However, Shraddha wanted that time should not be wasted. He suggested that the scenes which did not have movement could be shot in Mumbai.
According to sources, the team started shooting close-up and emotional scenes by building a set in Mud Island, Mumbai, but after two days, Shraddha’s pain increased, so the shooting had to be stopped again. Now the team will resume shooting after two weeks, after his complete recovery.
Let us tell you that apart from Shraddha Kapoor, Randeep Hooda and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub will also play important roles in this film. The film is being directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films.
