Filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt had recently said that the film Saavi vs Jigra controversy was for publicity. Regarding this, the lead actress of the film Savi, Divya Khosla, has shared a call recording, in which she talked to Mukesh on this statement and in which Mukesh was seen going back on his old statement.
On Thursday, Divya shared this audio recording on Instagram. In this she asks Mukesh, did you say that I have committed a petty act? I did a publicity stunt regarding Alia’s Jigra controversy? On this Mukesh says, “Neither did anyone ask me, nor did I tell anyone. People are making all this for their own benefit.”
Divya told that many negative reports had come out on her birthday. Because of this she was upset. On this Mukesh says that all this has happened under planning and someone is deliberately targeting him. He said, “First of all, I didn’t know it was your birthday and I don’t do things like that. You know how I am.”
In the recording, Mukesh also says that this reaction could have come from some other side. He told Divya to rise above these things and do her work carefully. He said that everything will be good for him in future.

The film Saavi was released in 2024. Divya Khosla was in the lead role and Mukesh Bhatt produced the film.
While sharing the recording, Divya wrote that what she has come to know is disturbing. He said that many artists and fans in the film industry have to face lobbying and gate-keeping. According to him, it is important for this truth to come out.

Divya further wrote, “I am forced to share this phone call so that people can hear for themselves how some groups try to spoil careers and stop talent. This behavior should not be normal. Now is the time for us to speak up and expose the industry mafia.”
What did Mukesh Bhatt say?
In fact, in a recent interview with Lehren Retro, when Mukesh Bhatt was asked a question on the Savi and Jigra controversy, he said that he did not know what Divya did for publicity? He also said that the story of Jigra seems to be inspired by Mahesh Bhatt’s film Gumrah, which itself was inspired by the Bangkok Hilton. For Savi, he had bought the rights of The Next Three Days and the gender in the story was changed.
Mukesh Bhatt further said that nowadays people create controversies to appear in the media. According to him, if the name of a big star like Alia Bhatt is added, then it gets discussed quickly.
Mukesh said that the themes of many films may be similar, but the presentation is different. He rejected the allegations against Alia and said that she is such a big and intelligent actress that she does not need to copy the idea.
What is the Jigra vs Savi controversy?
In the year 2024, Divya had alleged that Jigra copied Savi. He had said that the theme of getting someone out of jail is the same in both the films. He also claimed that the box office numbers of Jigra were inflated. Divya had shared a photo of an empty theater and said that tickets were being bought in bulk so that the collection could be seen more.
