Important news has emerged regarding the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP)’s 2026 class 10th and 12th board exams. The board has partially revised the exam schedule. Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh issued an official press release, stating that only the dates for a few subjects have been changed, while exams for all other subjects will proceed as previously scheduled.
According to the revised schedule, the Hindi and Elementary Hindi exams for high school (class 10th) will now be held on February 18, 2026, in the first shift. The Hindi and General Hindi exams for intermediate (class 12th) will also take place on February 18, 2026, but in the second shift. Additionally, the Sanskrit exam for intermediate has been rescheduled to March 12, 2026, in the second shift.
The board clarified that aside from these changes, all other high school and intermediate exams will be conducted as per their original dates. No other modifications have been made to the exam schedule. Students need to be aware of the new dates for these three subjects. The exams will continue until March 12.
The UP Board exams will start on February 18, 2026, and run until March 12, 2026. Exams will be conducted in two shifts: the first shift from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM, and the second shift from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. The board also stated that all high school and intermediate exams will be conducted over 15 working days.
This year, a total of 5.23 million candidates have registered for the UP Board examinations, with 2.75 million in high school (10th) and 2.479 million in intermediate (12th). Given the large number of candidates, the board has begun preparing examination centres in all districts.
The UP Board Secretary mentioned that instructions have been issued to all District School Inspectors to improve the examination system further. He also stated that strict monitoring will be maintained at examination centres to ensure fair and peaceful conduct of the exams.
Thus, the UP Board exams for 2026 will be held as scheduled, with only minor changes to the dates for a few subjects. Candidates are advised to review the revised schedule and finalize their preparations accordingly.
