Believe it or not, the science-fiction based film: Anything is Possible is in the headlines for its unique story and mysterious theme. The film depicts a character who has been alive for 14 thousand years. The story revolves around this amazing idea.

While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, actor Hiten Tejwani and director Yogesh Pagare said that this film is not only a flight of imagination but also presents a deep thought on life, time and human existence.

What is the story of your science-fiction film Mano Ya Na Mano?

Hiten Tejwani- When I heard the concept of the film for the first time, I found the story quite interesting. In this story there is a man who has been living for 14 thousand years, and this is the story we have shown how and why. That person has seen so much in his life that no matter what fights happen with him, he doesn’t care and I have tried to bring this stability and steadiness in my character. This story is different from all the projects I have done so far. The way this film has been written for the Indian audience, it makes it even more interesting. Also, I haven’t watched the Hollywood movie this movie is a remake of yet because I wanted to start with a clean slate. I have added my colors to the character of the film.

Yogesh Pagare- This film is the official remake of the Hollywood film The Man from the Earth. The concept of this film is ‘Chiranjeevi’. When I saw the Hollywood film, I was surprised and then I decided to take this story to the Hindi audience. I mailed the makers of the film and took permission and then searched for a person who is not affected by age, that is Hiten ji. It was a great experience working with him. The film is a remake, it does not mean copy-paste but everything has been written and shot afresh.

What is new in the film that will attract the audience? Is there any message hidden in the film?

Hiten Tejwani- I believe that people must have heard about Chiranjeevi, and this curiosity about how this is possible will draw them towards the film. This story will force you to think that if you get such a boon in real life, would you consider it a blessing or a curse? If anyone asks me, I will say that I am a person who lives in the present.

Yogesh Pagare- See, since childhood we have been hearing stories of people who lived for 14 thousand years. I believe that even today science has not reached everywhere. Imagine what would have happened to a person who has been living on earth for 14 thousand years! Some people believe his words, some do not. How many times would he have lost his loved ones? So the message of the film is that whether you believe it or not, there are different kinds of things in this world which you cannot dismiss outright.

Hiten, serial or film, which one do you enjoy working in more and which one gives you more pay cheque?

Hiten Tejwani- I do serials because an actor should practice his art form every day. But in a serial, you get to know the story on the set itself and you have to mold the character accordingly. I like doing films or web series because you have an arc, the story is fixed, and you can’t add much to it yourself. But fun is had in both. As far as paycheque is concerned, this is possible only in big films.

There is a new debate in the Bollywood industry regarding shifting hours, but nothing has been said from the TV industry, while your shifts also last for 17-18 hours?

Hiten Tejwani- Now there has been a slight change, in the serial world no work is done for more than 13 hours. This is a very subjective matter. If I told my director in advance that I can shoot only 8 hours a day and kept things clear, then there would be no problem later on. See, if a show runs, more than 150-200 people get work and everyone’s livelihood is maintained. So you should consider yourself lucky that you have a job. I have no problem with working too much, in fact I don’t even take Sundays off.

Currently, Bigg Boss is a very popular TV show. Whom are you supporting? What would you like to say to the contestants?

Hiten Tejwani- I have recently finished shooting a song with Natalia who came out of Bigg Boss, the shooting of the film will also happen soon. I would just say that whoever is in the Bigg Boss house, I salute them! I have lived in that house myself, and I know how difficult a game it is. Everyone is a winner for me.

Yogesh Pagare- I think this time the Bigg Boss show is overall quite entertaining. I consider Amaal Malik, Farhana, Gaurav Abhishek and Tanya Mittal to be strong contestants. People may call Amaal ‘hypocritical’, but he is very genuine and if he commits a mistake, he immediately says sorry. And the title of our film fits Tanya perfectly, believe it or not, but perhaps what she tells about herself may be true.
