QS Asia University Rankings 2026: Five IITs, IISc Among Top 100; Check List Here

IIT Delhi is among India’s most prestigious engineering institutes, ranked 2nd in NIRF 2025. Located in Hauz Khas, New Delhi, it is known for top research, innovation, and global collaborations.

India has achieved remarkable success in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, with seven universities now among the top 100 in the region. Five IITs—Delhi, Madras, Bombay, Kanpur, and Kharagpur—have earned places within this prestigious group.

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi stands out as India’s highest-ranked institution in Asia, securing the 59th spot with an overall score of 78.6. The institute has excelled particularly in research impact and employer reputation, which are key differentiators for IITs in global evaluations.

Additionally, IISc Bangalore is recognized as India’s leading science research institution, ranked 64th with an impressive score of 76.5, driven by citations and academic standing.

The University of Hong Kong leads the 2026 rankings, followed by Peking University. Singapore’s NUS and NTU share third place, ahead of Fudan University and HKUST. CUHK and CityU are jointly ranked seventh, while Tsinghua ranks ninth and PolyU takes tenth. The dominance of Hong Kong, China, and Singapore remains evident at the top.
