National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has simplified the vehicle KYV (Know Your Vehicle) process. Under the new guideline, users will have to upload only the front photo of the number plate and Fastag.
According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), now there will be no need to upload side photos of cars, jeeps and vans. This will make the process of keeping Fastag active and verification easier.

You will get information about RC yourself.
In the new system, RC details of the vehicle will be automatically available from the vehicle portal. The user has to enter only the vehicle number, chassis number or mobile number. If multiple vehicles are registered on the same mobile number, the user will be able to choose which vehicle’s KYV has to be completed.
The government has clarified that Fastags issued before the implementation of the KYV policy will remain active. These will not be closed unless any complaint or misuse is reported.
Bank will send reminder
If a user is unable to upload the document, the concerned bank will contact the customer and assist over phone. Before disconnecting Fastag, the bank will have to complete the KYV process. Also, banks will have to send SMS reminders to customers to complete KYV.
