The Afghan Taliban released a video of an alleged Pakistani ISIS fighter in which the man is exposing details related to terror training and cross-border recruitment. The alleged ISIS operative shared how he was trained and radicalised in a madrasa that was linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
As per a report by India Today, the Taliban’s intelligence agency shared the video online on one of its affiliated channels. The video features Saeedullah, a Pakistani national from Plarman village.
The man named several prominent figures in the video and shared that he was studying in a madrasa in Peshawar near the Tablighi Centre. The madrasa was linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba and he was trained in the terror camps before crossing into Afghanistan for operations.
The alleged ISIS fighter further claimed in the video that a man named Osama provided ideological instructions and he took weapons and combat training in the mountains near Quetta, Balochistan. Months later, an operative named Nusrat urged him to join the ISIS front in Afghanistan.
“When I refused, Nusrat made me a fake Afghan Tazkira (identity document) and sent me to Afghanistan posing as a refugee,” the man said in the video. Saeedullah also shared the route through which he crossed into Afghanistan, “I crossed through Torkham, reached Jalalabad, and was handed over to masked men who said, ‘This is our brother from Pakistan.’”
