The BJP on Thursday announced a 132-member State Election Management (SEM) committee for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. Three-time MP Jugal Kishore Sharma has been made the chairman of the committee. Aseem Gupta has been made the convener, Rajiv Jasrotia, Pawan Khajuria and Shaukat Ghayur Andrabi have been made co-conveners of the committee.

The third version of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign starts today, bike rally of MPs in Delhi on 13th August
The third version of the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan will be celebrated from 9 to 15 August. Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has asked people to hoist the tricolor in their homes and click a selfie with the flag and upload it on the HGT portal. The Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan was launched in 2022 under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and has become a mass movement.
In 2022, the tricolour was hoisted in more than 23 crore houses. Six crore people uploaded their selfies with the flag. In 2023, more than 10 crore people uploaded selfies. The highlight of the campaign is the special Tiranga Bike Rally of Members of Parliament, which will be held in Delhi on August 13. The rally will start from Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan and will pass through India Gate and end at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium.
