India on Friday showed Pakistan a mirror in the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and described it as the worst human rights record in the world. India said that Pakistan should focus on ending the state sponsored harassment and discrimination of religious minorities.
In the United Nations Human Rights Council India Permanent mission of counselor K.S. Mohammad Hussain said in the general debate of the 60th season, “It is ironic that a country that is notorious for the worst record of human rights, preaches others.” Hussain said without naming any country, ‘His efforts to make unfounded allegations against India by misusing this respected platform highlight their hypocritical policy.’

India has repeatedly clarified Pakistan that Jammu and Kashmir was always an integral part of India and will remain. Counselor K.S. Mohammad Hussain also said that India is constantly making efforts for its people to ensure complete use of human rights and sustainable development. He mentioned India’s commitment to the Vienna Declaration and Program of Action (VDPA) adopted after the 1993 World Human Rights Conference. VDPA is a historical document, which strengthens the foundation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for the preservation of human rights.
