According to NDTV report, Goswami and Mahant were with Zubeen Garg at the Yacht Party in Singapore on 19 September. According to SIT sources, in the video, Goswami appeared very close to Garg, while Mahant recorded the entire incident on his mobile.

According to News18, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and Amritprabha Mahant were members of the music team of Zubeen Garg.

At the same time, earlier, Assam Police also arrested Siddharth Sharma, manager of Zubeen Garg and Shyamakunu Mahant, organizer of North East India Festival. Both were brought from Delhi to Guwahati on Wednesday.

Munna Prasad Gupta, Special DGP of the Assam Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID), told reporters that the court sent both of them to a 14 -day police custody. Investigation is going on and I cannot give much information. We have now added section 103 of BNS to FIR.

Section 103 of BNS decides punishment for murder. According to this, the murder person has to pay death penalty or life imprisonment and fine.

Police said a case was filed against Sharma and Mahant under different sections of BNS, including death, criminal conspiracy and negligence death.

SIT has registered more than 60 FIRs so far

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) said that in the case of the death of Zubeen Garg, more than 60 FIRs have been registered against Mahant and about 10 people in the state so far.

Mahant was the main organizer of the North East India Festival held in Singapore. Gupta said that the postmortem report done in Singapore will be given to the family as per the protocol. Singapore’s investigation team also worked. He has also contacted the family.

At the same time, the report of the second postmortem made in Guwahati is awaited. The viscera sample has been sent to the Central Forensic Lab in Delhi for detail investigation. Gupta said that after receiving the viscera report, the postmortem report will be ready and will be available to us.

Explain that Viscera sample is samples taken from internal organs of the body like intestine, liver, kidney etc. during postmortem to find out the real cause of death.

Singer Zubeen Garg died on 19 September under mysterious circumstances. He went to Singapore to perform at the North East India Festival.

The Assam Police has created a nine -member SIT to investigate the case. Gupta said that the team will go to Singapore and collect evidence when permission will be given there.

He told that our team is ready to go to Singapore. Some formalities have to be completed. We have sent a request through the correct channel. The team will go as soon as the information is received.

The Government of India has used the Mutual Legal Assistance Truth (MLAT) with Singapore to cooperate in the investigation of Singer’s death in Singapore.

Gupta said that the singer’s cousin and deputy SP Sandipan Garg were also questioned at the time of the incident.
