UP Police Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
The selection process involves several stages. Candidates must first pass a written examination assessing their basic abilities and knowledge. This will be followed by document verification and a physical standard test (DV/PST), which includes checking documents and assessing physical parameters.
Physical ability will be evaluated during the physical test. If a candidate is found using steroids, stimulants, or narcotics during the physical test, their candidature will be immediately cancelled, and legal action will be taken.
The recruitment drive has drawn a large number of applicants. For the Computer Operator Grade-A posts, 1,01,396 candidates are competing for 1,129 vacancies. Meanwhile, around 77,079 candidates have applied for 921 vacancies across SI (Confidential), ASI (Clerk), and ASI (Accounts) posts. This high ratio of applicants to available seats highlights the competitive nature of the selection process.
