Seasoned Indian golfer Diksha Dagar will spearhead the country’s campaign at the 17th edition of the Hero Women’s Indian Open, which will take place from October 9 to 12, 2025, at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram.

This year’s event carries an enhanced prize purse of USD 500,000, with the champion set to take home USD 75,000.

A Stage for Indian Women Golfers

Since its launch in 2007, the Hero Women’s Indian Open has become the most prestigious women’s golf tournament in the country, offering a platform for Indian golfers to test themselves against some of the best players in the world.

So far, Aditi Ashok remains the only Indian to have lifted the trophy, achieving the historic feat in 2016. However, several others have come close in recent years. Amandeep Drall finished runner-up in 2022, while Diksha Dagar secured a memorable third-place finish in 2023, underlining the rising depth of Indian women’s golf.

Strong Indian and International Field

Almost all the leading Indian women golfers, many of whom now compete regularly on the Ladies European Tour (LET), will be in action at the DLF course. They will be tested by a strong line-up of international stars.

Early entries include defending champion Liz Young of England and the current Order of Merit leader Mimi Rhodes, who has impressed despite being in just her rookie season. Former LET Order of Merit winners Chiara Tamburlini (2024) of Switzerland and Trichat Cheenglab (2023) of Thailand are also confirmed.

The field will further feature recent LET winners such as Alice Hewson (England), Shannon Tan (Singapore), Darcey Hall, and Sara Kouskova, making it one of the most competitive editions in the tournament’s history.

The final entry list will be confirmed in the coming weeks, with additional top-ranked players expected to join.
