In a historic first for the WWE, the Stamford-based company’s headline pay-per-view Wrestlemania will be hosted outside the confines of the USA and Canada as Saudi Arabia is set to host the 43rd edition of the event.
Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority Chairman, Turki Alalshikh, announced that WrestleMania would be staged in the Middle Eastern nation in the year 2027.
Saudi Arabia has aggressively expanded its sporting portfolio in recent years, bringing in a variety of sporting events to excite its citizens and build a solid sports culture.
Recently, sources revealed that the oil-rich nation is pushing for its own WrestleMania, with The Rock headlining the show. There are discussions about holding two WrestleMania events in one year, with one potentially taking place in Saudi Arabia. Talks suggest this could happen as early as 2027.

WWE’s latest pay-per-view event, the 41st edition of WrestleMania, featured several high-profile matches at the Allegiant Stadium in Nevada, attracting a sell-out crowd.
Iyo Sky defeated Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair to retain the WWE Women’s World Championship, while McIntyre triumphed over Damien Priest in a Sin City Street Fight. Dominik, son of the legendary Rey Mysterio, clinched the Intercontinental Championship by defeating Bron Breakker, Penta, and Finn Balor.
Randy Orton outclassed Joe Hendry, Logan Paul defeated AJ Styles, and Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria overcame Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodrigues to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
