The US Army on Tuesday attacked a venezuela boat in which 11 people died. Now US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has revealed that Trump himself ordered the boat to attack.
The attack took place in the Caribbean Sea on Tuesday. Rubio said that he could have seized the boat if he wanted, but Trump ordered him to fly instead.
Rubio said that only seizing a consignment of drugs is not going to affect the cartel. If they want to finish, then they have to fly.
Rubio also said that the people present on the boat were not given any warning as it was filled with ‘cocaine or fentene’ drug. This was a direct threat to America.
Trump said- now they will not do this again
Earlier, President Trump claimed that the ship was a member of the ‘Train Day Aragua gang’. America has declared it a terrorist organization. Trump claimed that the boat had a huge amount of drugs.
Trump told reporters-
We have tapes of their conversation. There were a large amount of drugs coming in our country, which could kill many people. Everyone understands this. You can see yourself that the boat had drug packets and was attacked. Now they will not do this again.
Trump also shared the footage related to this on social media, in which a speedboat is seen running in water and then flies into the explosion. The video is mostly black-and-white and does not clearly show how many people or drugs are present on the boat.
America targeted boat for the first time
US defense officials have not yet given detailed information about the attack. An official of the Defense Department even questioned whether 11 people could really sit in such a small boat.
It is also not clear why the army decided to blow it instead of stopping the boat. Generally, the Coast Guard or the US Navy have been holding the crew into custody by holding boats laden with drugs and they are also prosecuted.
According to the New York Times, the US Navy has previously stopped and investigated suspected ships in the international water area. But the attack in the Caribbean Sea on Tuesday was completely different, as this time a direct attack was carried out.
The Trump administration did not give any legal argument for this action. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on the TV channel that the officials were fully aware of who were people in the boat and what they were doing. However, he did not show any evidence. He said that President Trump is ready to take such aggressive steps that no one has taken before.
Difference in statements of American officials
However, some officials of the Defense Department expressed concern over the changing statements of the administration. Rubio said on Tuesday that the boat was going to Trinidad, while Trump said that she was going to America.
The Pentagon is now engaged in deciding on which legal basis the public should be explained how to justify this attack in the international water area.
According to the report, the US Parliament has not approved any military action against Train Day Aragua or Venezuela. Experts say that they have never seen this before when a country has blown people on suspicion of smuggling drugs in the name of self -defense.
Rubio said on Tuesday that the government gets the right to use military forces against drug smugglers. But law experts say that it is not so. By declaring a terrorist, the government can confiscate their property or impose financial ban on them, but does not get the right to action like war.
In 2001, Parliament approved the use of military forces in Afghanistan against al-Qaeda and Taliban. Later, different US governments also expanded this law and also took action against other Islamic militant organizations. But under this law, military action against drugs cartel is not allowed.
