The negative emotion against the implementation of VAR in the Premier League has been prevalent for a while in football circles now, and Fulham defender Antonee Robinson was the latest to express his discontent with the technology following his side’s defeat to Chelsea on Saturday.
Fulham forward Josh King saw his goal disallowed following a long VAR check against Chelsea as the Blues ran out 2-0 winners. Referees’ union chief Howard Webb spoke to Fulham following the game to declare the decision to rule out the goal was an error.

Fulham defender Antonee Robinson took to Instagram to criticise the standard of refereeing in the PL with a caption that read, “If they can check it for five minutes and still get it wrong, then what’s actually the point?”
“Stand of Officiating has been shocking in the Prem for too long now,” the post added.
King who latched on to the through ball a bit ahead of the halfway line dribbled towards the altar before dispatching it expertly into the net to give his side the lead, but the celebrations were cut short as VAR intervened and ruled the goal out.
Chelsea went on to dominate the game there on out as they netted through Joao Pedro early in the second half, before Enzo Fernandez slotted the ball in from the spot to seal the victory.
