A 25-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped in Faridabad after accepting a ride late at night. The police have arrested two men and recovered the vehicle involved in the crime.

A 25-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by two men after she accepted a lift in a van late Monday night in Faridabad, police said.
The incident prompted swift action by authorities, leading to the immediate arrest of both accused and recovery of the vehicle.
According to the details, the survivor resides with her husband and mother.
On the night of December 29, she reportedly had an argument with her mother and decided to visit a female friend.
She left the friend’s residence around 12.30 am to return home.
At Metro Chowk, unable to find transport, she accepted a ride offered by a van.
Police said the two men in the van allegedly diverted the route towards Gurugram and took the woman to a forested area.
She sustained a head injury during the assault and required 12 stitches.
Both accused are residents of Faridabad.
Sub-Inspector Yashpal Singh, Public Relations Officer of Faridabad Police, told news agency ANI, “Yesterday, on December 30, a rape case was reported at Kotwali Police Station. The police took swift action and registered a case under the relevant sections.”
“The Crime Branch team acted promptly, arrested both the accused, and recovered the vehicle. Further questioning of the suspects is underway,” he said.
Additional details from The Times Of India report indicate that the woman was allegedly assaulted for nearly three hours while the van traversed isolated stretches along the Gurgaon-Faridabad Road amid dense fog, preventing her from seeking help.
The vehicle reportedly went beyond the Hanuman Temple stretch before the woman was thrown out near Mula Hotel at Raja Chowk in SGM Nagar around 3 am.
She contacted her sister, who took her to a local hospital.
Although doctors referred her to a Delhi facility, her family admitted her to a private hospital in Faridabad for treatment.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
CCTV footage from the area was being examined, and police were questioning the suspects to determine if any accomplices were involved.
