According to India’s 2011 census data, the country’s population was more than 121 crores.

India’s population growth rate will be 0.9% in the year 2025. India’s population is likely to be 146 crore in 2025. The United Nations socio-economic agency UNDESA had estimated India’s population to be 142 crore or more than that of China in April 2023.

According to UNDESA, productivity in India will increase by 2035. The reason for this is that the dependence of the non-working population (below 15 years and above 64 years) on the working population (15 to 64 years) is expected to continuously decrease for the next 11 years.

The National Census will start next year from 2025. It is expected to be finished in the early months of 2026. The census to be held every ten years was to be held in 2021, but it was postponed due to Corona. But now the census has got the green signal.

Many new information will emerge from the Census 2025 data. Since there will be no census in 2021, it will also be interesting to match the final data of the census with the data of the United Nations, World Bank and other agencies. According to India’s 2011 census data, the country’s population was more than 121 crores.

Population decline will begin after 2062 According to an estimate, India’s population will begin to decline after 2062. According to government data, the annual population growth rate in the country was 1.64% in 2011, the lowest since independence, only in 1951 this rate was 1.25%, because then the death rate had increased significantly.

You can also fill the information yourself online This time, apart from door to door census, people will get the option to fill all the details themselves by filling the online census form. For this, the Census Authority has prepared a self-enumeration portal. During self-enumeration, every person will have to mandatorily fill Aadhaar number and mobile number on this portal.

Two big reasons for completing the census early: First: Lok Sabha and Assembly seats are to be delimited afresh on the basis of the Delimitation Commission to be constituted in the year 2026. There was a freeze on the number of constituencies of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and assemblies till 2026. These constituencies will be demarcated afresh according to the new population figures. The number of seats in Parliament will also increase.

Second: According to these increased seats, one third of the seats in the Lok Sabha and Assemblies will be reserved for women. The historic bill for this has been passed on September 23.

The next census will be in 2035 The new census cycle will start from the 2025 census. After 2025, census will be held in 2035 and 2045. The census, conducted every ten years since 1881, was to be held in 2021, which will be delayed by 3 years. The entire exercise will be completed in 2 to 2.5 years.

In such a situation, it would not be logical to limit this data to 2031. This time the census will be digital and the help of self-enumeration app will also be taken. Efforts will be made to complete the census exercise which is spread over 3 years, in 18-24 months.
