The Supreme Court has approached against the release of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The Central Enforcement Directorate has challenged the High Court order. The Directorate has said in its SLP petition that the High Court order is illegal. The central agency’s statement means that the bail is against the provisions of the PMLA Act.

ED has also expressed objection to the comments of the High Court in the bail order. For example, ED said that the High Court is wrong in saying that there is no prima facie case against Hemant Soren. The Directorate said that there are many procedural lapses and negligence in the High Court order, which requires an early hearing.
