National President of Hindu Sena, Vishnu Gupta has written a letter to the Archaeological Department of India (ASI) demanding a survey of Jama Masjid Delhi.
He said that Aurangzeb had demolished the Krishna temples of Jodhpur and Udaipur and installed the remains of idols in the stairs of Jama Masjid. This is mentioned in the book Masir-e-Alamgiri written on Aurangzeb.
Vishnu Gupta said that it is written in this book that it was Sunday (24-25 May, 1689). That day Khan Jahan Bahadur returned from Jodhpur after destroying the temples. After that the remains of the broken statues were brought to Delhi by bullock carts. Therefore its survey should be done.
Hindu army itself claimed that there is a Shiva temple in Ajmer-Dargah.
Ajmer Civil Court accepted the petition of Hindu Sena claiming that the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti of Ajmer is Sankat Mochan Mahadev Temple. On November 27, the court considered it worthy of hearing.
The Civil Court has sent notices to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Dargah Committee Ajmer and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). The next hearing in the case will be on December 20.
The petition, citing the book Ajmer: Historical and Descriptive written in 1911 by retired judge Harbilas Sarda, claims that the debris of the temple was used in the construction of the Dargah. Also, there is said to be a Jain temple in the sanctum sanctorum and complex.
Ajmer Sharif Dargah is the tomb of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. It was built by Mughal emperor Humayun.
Hindu Sena National President received death threats
On November 11, the national president of Hindu Sena, who claimed that Ajmer Dargah was a Hindu temple, received death threats. The caller threatened Gupta to withdraw the case filed in the court and said – Take back the case otherwise we will kill you.
After this Vishnu Gupta reached Christian Ganj police station late at night and lodged a complaint. Police have started investigation in the case of threatening call.
Vishnu Gupta was earlier in Bajrang Dal
38-year-old Vishnu Gupta was born in Etah, Uttar Pradesh. Gupta was interested in extreme Hindu nationalism since childhood. He joined the youth wing of Shiv Sena during his college days. In 2008 he joined Bajrang Dal.
In 2011, Gupta founded Hindu Sena with his colleagues. Despite having no connection with Shiv Sena or RSS, Hindu Sena has been involved in many controversies…
