Raghuveer Singh, a resident of Haryana’s Hisar district and working at Sirsa depot, has brought the 18th Kavad this time. He went to Haridwar on July 17 with his about 15 colleagues and returned to Sirsa on July 23 and climbed Kavad in the Shiva temple of the bus stand.

For the last 4 times, he has been offering kawad in the Shiva temple at Sirsa bus stand. Regarding this, Raghuveer says that no one offers kavad in this temple, so he has started worshiping here.
Raghuveer, 42, says that he started to bring Kavad to Kavad by asking for a job in Roadways. After 4 years, he got a driver’s job in the roadways, so he started going to Kavad every year. Since then, their series continues.

- Asked for a vow in the year 2008, got a job in 2012: Raghuveer told that Nyoli Khurd is his ancestral village in Hisar district. The foundation stone of the Shiva temple was laid in the village in 2008 with Shivling. Then he started worshiping Shivling and asked for a vow to bring Kavad in the roadways. However, the same year he brought the first Kavad. After this, in 2012, he got a driver’s job in Roadways.
- Take 10 to 15 days off and go to Kavad: Raghuveer Singh said that when his roadways department got a job, his first posting was done at Sirsa depot. After this, in the month of Shravan, he used to take 10 to 15 days off and every time he used to go from Haridwar to Kanwar to take Ganga water. After returning, he used to offer Ganga water in his village temple.
- Union formed to bring Kavad: Raghuveer says that for the first few years, he went to Kavad alone and then with the youth of the village. After this, Shiv Shakti Sangh was formed in the year 2018. He added people under the banner of this organization, so that they also started going to Kavad. Along with these people, Raghuveer started bringing Kavad to Sirsa.
- Kavad climb in the bus stand temple for the first time in 2019: Raghuveer said that he has been in Sirsa for 13 years and has been driving a roadways bus. Once he came to mind that there is a Shiva temple at the Sirsa bus stand, which no one climbs. Therefore, for the first time in 2019, he climbed Kavad in the Shiva temple of the bus stand. He was also loudly welcomed by roadways personnel. After this, he could not bring Kavad due to the Korona period for 2 years. However, the process of bringing Kavad continues after Korona recovered.

Raghuveer’s father Chaudhary Chatrapal died a few years ago. His mother is Bhateri Devi and wife Sharmila Devi is a housewife. There is a son Sameer, who is doing B.Tech.
