The troubles of Bollywood rapper and singer Badshah (Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia) are increasing continuously. After Haryana State Women’s Commission, now Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (HSCPCR) has also tightened its noose. The Children’s Commission has issued a notice to Badshah for allegedly misrepresenting the portrayal of school children and their attitude towards education in the recently released music video ‘Tattiri’. A notice has also been sent to the directors of the video and summoned. The Commission has considered the scenes of this video to be against the psychology and social values of children. The Commission has clarified that this notice has been sent through email and official Instagram handle, which will be considered as ‘sufficient service’. This is the whole matter Singer Badshah’s new song ‘Tattiri’ is in discussion on social media, but Child Rights Commission had received many complaints regarding its content. Based on the complaints, the Commission itself has taken cognizance and initiated action. According to the Commission, some scenes have been filmed in the video which appear to promote indiscipline among the students. Main objections of the Commission: Notice has been sent to these people. The logic and legal basis of the Commission: In this notice issued through the Secretary and Advisor (Child Protection) of the Commission, it is said that the future of children and their conduct cannot be played with in the name of entertainment. The Commission believes that a big artist like Badshah has crores of followers, which include a large number of school children. In such a situation, such portrayal can inspire students to drop out of studies or misbehave in school. In the notice seeking reply within 7 days, directors Mahi Sandhu and Joban Sandhu have also been put in the dock. The commission says that he was responsible for the creative direction of the video, so he should have ensured that the content of the video did not violate children’s rights or their moral development. The Commission has given 7 days time to all concerned parties to submit their clarifications. Further action and accountability The Commission has clarified that if the Commission does not receive a satisfactory response within the stipulated time limit of 7 days, further strict action may be taken. This may include instructions to ban controversial parts of the video, remove the video from social media platforms, or impose legal penalties. This case is being seen as a big warning to the entertainment industry to exercise extreme caution when using content or characters involving children. Haryana Child Rights Commission has made it clear that they are committed to protecting the interests and dignity of children in the state.
