Farmers of Punjab have been sitting at Shambhu and Khanauri border adjacent to Haryana for 298 days. He had clashed with the police twice during his Delhi trip. A young farmer has died. Despite this, like the 3 agricultural laws in 2020-21, this time they have to be implemented against the farmers of Haryana.
.
When Dainik Bhaskar talked to the farmers and villagers of Haryana to find out, the BJP government was seen to be very active at the ground level through police and administration. As much strictness as the Haryana government is doing on the Shambhu-Khanauri border, it is doing the same micro level working at the village level. She does not want to let this movement survive in the state in any way.
3 big reasons for not allowing movement in Haryana…
1. SP-DSP fielded in the border area The biggest impact of the farmers’ movement of Punjab was to fall in the areas of Haryana adjacent to the Shambhu and Khanauri border. The government had received its intelligence input. After this, the government fielded SPs and DSPs from border districts in place of lower level employees. He was asked to hold meetings with villagers and farmers from village to village. Where they are counting the losses they are facing due to the agitation by the farmers of Punjab in Haryana and especially in the border areas. The result was that now even milk, ration etc. from the villages is not reaching the movement.
2. Police already increased patrolling and took strict action As soon as the farmers’ movement of Punjab started, the police increased patrolling in the villages. Blockades were put up on the highways. Liquor shops near the border areas were closed. At Khanauri border, shops were closed in an area of 16 km. The result was that people reduced going towards the border. In such a situation, his coordination with the agitating farmers was broken. Even during the Delhi march, the administration and police immediately sealed the entire area in one fell swoop.

3. Haryana leaders were not taken into confidence The third major reason in this matter is the farmer leaders Jagjit Dallewal and Sarwan Pandher who are running the movement in Punjab. In fact, when he started the movement in the month of February, he did not take the farmer leaders of Haryana into confidence. Even when there was a clash last time regarding the Delhi march, the leaders of Haryana did not come together. Gurnam Chaduni, head of BKU (Chaduni Group), confirms this and says that we will not go without being invited. If something goes wrong then the blame will be on us. However, farmer leaders like Abhimanyu Kohar are standing firm on the Khanauri border with the movement.

4. Giving MSP on 24 crops Farmer organizations of Punjab are protesting against the Guarantee Act for purchase of crops at MSP. If the demand is accepted, all the farmers of the country will benefit from it. Although the Haryana government is continuously saying that they are giving MSP on 24 crops. Even during the assembly elections, from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Home Minister Amit Shah raised the issue as to why Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are not giving MSP on crops in their governed states. Haryana government is continuously giving the impression that no one gives the MSP we are giving.

Haryana faces 3 big losses due to closure of border…
1. Border closed for 10 months, crop had to be sold cheap. The borders of Haryana adjoining Punjab have been closed for 10 months. Khanauri border in Jind and Shambhu border in Ambala are closed. Due to this, the villages near the border have lost contact with Punjab. There are about 20 villages near Khanauri border in Jind. Most of the trade of villages like Narayangarh, Padarath Kheda, River, Pipaltha, Ujhana, Hans Dahar, Dandoli is done from Khanauri of Punjab.
The distance of these villages is equal from Khanauri and Narwana. Farmers also sell their crops in Khanauri. Farmers of Narayan Garh and Ujhana said that the price of paddy harvested from the combine is higher in Punjab.
A large number of farmers used to go to Khanauri and sell paddy to the rice millers there. The farmers of Haryana benefited from this. Paddy harvested from the combine has more moisture and its price is lower in Haryana. Despite this the crop had to be sold at low cost. Due to this, farmers suffered losses worth crores.

A farmer of village Dandoli says that due to broken roads, the oil tanker overturned in the fields, due to which his entire paddy crop got spoiled.
2. Link roads and unpaved roads were completely broken. Due to closure of the border, big vehicles are passing through the link roads. Big trucks are leaving the villages. Due to this the link roads were completely broken. There are huge potholes on the unpaved roads. Farmers face difficulty in moving tractors and taking out equipment.
The Haryana government recently got roads and roads rebuilt in some villages by giving grants, but they were broken again. Just a few days ago, a tanker filled with oil overturned on the way to the fields in village Dandoli, destroying the farmer’s entire paddy crop. Wherever the oil went, the fields got ruined.
3. Business of shops stopped There are hotels, restaurants and small shops on the way from Narwana to Khanauri. The shops on the Narwana-Khanauri Highway passing through the villages are mostly owned by villagers. Due to the closure of the road, their business has reduced to less than half. Sales at petrol pumps have decreased.
Due to the low rates, most of the people of Punjab used to come to the petrol pumps of Haryana to buy oil and buy liquor from the liquor vends here. The sale of pumps and contracts has reduced to half. An employee of a liquor vend near the Khanauri border said that earlier their daily sales used to be Rs 1 lakh, which has now come down to Rs 10,000 per day.

Traders and street vendors have even demonstrated in Ambala. Ambala traders have suffered loss of business due to closure of Shambhu border. In the month of July, traders also kept their shops closed for 4 hours. The biggest loss was suffered by the famous textile market here with about 1500 shops.
Traders say that due to closure of the border they have suffered a loss of Rs 2 thousand crores. A large number of customers used to come to his place from Punjab only. President of Jan Jagruti Sangathan, Viplav Singla says that we protested. Shambhu demanded opening of the border but no hearing took place.
Our customers were devastated by the border being closed for 10 months. Now they have started moving to other markets. Vishal Batra, President of Wholesale Cloth Market Association, says that due to the closure of the border, retail traders along with wholesale suffered losses. It is the wedding season and business is in bad shape due to borders being closed. Textile traders say 75% of their business has fallen. The jobs of about 25 thousand people are in danger.
When there was a demonstration in Ambala in the month of July, Ambala’s Wholesale Cloth Market Association, Textile Market Association, Ambala Electricals Dealers Association, Sarafa Association, Vyapar Mandal Haryana, New Cloth Market Pooja Complex, Maniyari Market, Ambala Electric Association, New Anaj Mandi, Old Grain Market Association, Transport Association and Trade Employees Union also took part in the demonstration demanding opening of the border.
