Controversy has increased after the breakdown of the marriage of Indian women’s cricket team vice captain Smriti Mandhana and filmmaker Palash Muchhal. Many posts on social media are claiming that Palash was cheating on Smriti and Smriti had caught him red-handed with a choreographer at a sangeet night. Now breaking his silence on these claims, the choreographer has made it clear that he has nothing to do with this controversy.

It was being claimed that Smriti-Palash’s marriage broke because of Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaz, two choreographers of Bosco Group. Both these choreographers were hired to choreograph the Sangeet Night. According to the Reddit post, Smriti’s friend Shreyanka Patil caught Palash red-handed with choreographer Nandita, after which the marriage ended. With these claims, the names of choreographers Nandita and Gulnaz started trending.

Now giving clarification on this, choreographer Gulnaz has written-

There are a lot of speculations and false claims circulating about me and my friend Nandika, so I want to clear it all up. We are not involved in this matter. Just because we know someone socially or have a photo with them does not mean that we are involved in their personal matters. Please keep things respectful and don’t jump to conclusions. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Let us tell you that the marriage of Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana was going to happen on 23 November. Just a day before this, Smriti’s father was hospitalized due to sudden deterioration in his health. After this, Singer Palak Muchhal informed through social media that Smriti and Palash’s wedding has been postponed.

After the wedding was postponed, it came to light that not only Smriti’s father but Palash Muchhal was also hospitalised.

Amidst the controversies, Smriti Mandhana deleted all the posts related to marriage from social media, after which many speculations started. On November 25, the chat between Palash and a woman named Mary DeCosta went viral on social media, in which Palash was seen flirting with her.

After coming into the limelight, the woman herself clarified that these chats of hers were from April 2025. Amidst all these controversies, families have demanded privacy.
