The Election Commission has termed the social media post alleging breach in the security of Rashtriya Janata Dal’s strong room as misleading and beyond facts. In fact, RJD had shared a video on social media on Saturday, in which it was told that CCTV of different assemblies is switched off one by one in the strong room located in Hajipur of Vaishali district. A pickup van enters and leaves there at midnight.
Election Commission RJD Taking cognizance of this social media post, senior officials got the allegations investigated, in which it was found that for the security of the strong room, the feed of CCTV footage has been displayed at two places. One in the control room and the other near the strong room in the area made for representatives of political parties and candidates. The feed display of CCTV footage installed in the control room continued to run.

The Election Commission said that the allegations of movement of pickup vans in the strong room located in Hajipur were also investigated, in which it was found that at midnight, a vehicle went inside carrying the belongings of the soldiers guarding the strong room i.e. bedding, food etc. and came back within 15 minutes. The strong room of Hajipur has been built in the college campus, for which three-level security has been ensured by the Election Commission.

The record of entry and exit of the vehicle in the strong room has been recorded in the register of security guards posted at the main gate of the college campus. 65.08% voting in the first phase of Bihar elections
In the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections, voting took place at 45,341 polling stations in 121 assembly constituencies of 18 districts. The Chief Electoral Officer said that 65.08 percent voting was recorded in the first phase. Women participated enthusiastically in voting.
