Samuel Miranda, former house help of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has got a big relief from the Supreme Court. The court has upheld the Bombay High Court’s decision to cancel the Look Out Circular (LOC) of April 10. Also rejected the Centre’s appeal in which it had challenged the order to cancel the look out circular issued against Samuel Miranda.

Rejecting the petition, the court said that no party was present during the hearing of this case. Also, we do not see any concrete reason in the petition, keeping in mind which the appeal can be accepted.

Miranda had filed a petition in Hoikart Sushant’s former house help Samuel Miranda had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court in 2024. In this he had demanded cancellation of the LOC issued against him by the CBI in 2020. He said that the police has not yet given any report and this LOC has been pending for three and a half years. Miranda had also said that this was affecting his right to travel abroad, which was a violation of his fundamental rights.

Bombay High Court order The Bombay High Court on April 10 had quashed the CBI’s lookout circular against Sushant Singh Rajput’s former house help Samuel Miranda, saying the LOC was issued only on the basis of the FIR. It did not show that the petitioner would try to avoid arrest or avoid attending the trial. Apart from this, CBI had not presented any new application before the court for continuation or renewal of LOC, even though the time of one year has completed.

During the hearing of the case, Supreme Court Justice BR Gavai had said, ‘We are giving a warning. You are filing such a small petition because one of the accused is a high-profile person. Surely a huge price will have to be paid for this.
