The allegation is that first she was strangulated to death and then the body was set on fire to destroy the evidence.

A few months ago, she got engaged to Imran, a resident of Chhapia in the neighboring district of Gonda. But before both of them could get married, this relationship reached a dreadful end.
Balrampur Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar said that after the engagement, Imran came in contact with another woman Sakina through social media. After this the closeness between the two increased. When Shalimunish came to know about this relationship, he opposed it, due to which the situation became tense.
Police say that after this protest, a conspiracy was hatched to remove Shalimunish from the way. On Tuesday, Sakina called Shalimunish to her house. Imran was already present there. It is alleged that both of them together strangled Shalimunish to death. After the murder, an attempt was made to make the incident look like suicide.
According to the police, Imran, Sakina and her mother Zainab poured kerosene on the body and set it on fire, so that the truth could not be revealed. But the entire matter soon came to light during investigation. Police have sent the body for postmortem. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of BNS and arrested Imran, Sakina and Zainab.
