In the final match, New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and invited India to bat first. Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson team india Gave it a banging start. Both scored 98 runs in 7.1 overs. Abhishek was out after scoring 52 runs in 21 balls with the help of 6 fours and three sixes. Sanju Samson scored his third consecutive half-century in the tournament. Along with Ishan Kishan, he made a century partnership of 105 runs in 48 balls for the second wicket. When Team India’s score was 203 runs in 15.1 overs, then Sanju Samson was out after scoring 89 runs in 46 balls with the help of 5 fours and 8 sixes.

At one time Team India seemed to be moving towards a very big score. But Jimmy Neesham reduced the pace of Team India a bit by taking the wickets of Sanju, Surya and Ishan Kishan in the 16th over. Shivam Dubey scored 26 runs in 8 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 3 fours and helped India reach the huge target of 255 runs in 20 overs.

New Zealand’s bowlers proved to be very expensive. Matt Henry took 1 wicket for 49 runs in 4 overs, Lockie Ferguson gave 48 runs in 2 overs and did not get any wicket. Similarly, Rachin Ravindra gave 32 runs in 2 overs and got only 1 wicket. Mitchell Santner gave 33 runs in 4 overs and did not take any wicket.

Jacob Duffy gave 42 runs in 3 overs and he also did not get any wicket. Jimmy Neesham gave 46 runs in 4 overs and took three wickets. In reply, the Kiwi team did not have a very good start. He lost the wickets of Finn Allen, Rachin Ravindra and Glenn Phillips at the score of 47 runs by the fourth over. After this, the Kiwi team never seemed to return to the contest and was all out on the score of 159 runs in 19 overs. Jasprit Bumrah and Akshar Patel bowled excellently for Team India. Bumrah took 4 wickets for 15 runs in 4 overs, while Akshar took 3 wickets for 27 runs in 3 overs. Pandya, Chakraborty and Abhishek took 1 wicket each.
