The Chief Lt Gen Jeffrey Crust of the Defense Intelligence Agency has been fired.

The US Defense Department Pentagon has dismissed the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Chief Lieutenant General Jeffrey Crust. The DIA Deputy Director Christine Boardin will be interim director in place of the cross, until the Senate approves the new director.

This information was given to the media on Friday by Senior Defense Officer and Senator Mark Warner. The agency had given a report before the dismissal, which denied Trump’s claims of destroying Iran’s nuclear sites in American military attacks.

Apart from the cross, Defense Secretary PT Hegseth also dismissed the Navy Reserve chief Vice Admiral Nancy Lacor and Naval Special Warfare Command chief Rear Admiral Jamie Sands.

However, the reasons for why they were evacuated have not been revealed. Senior Democrat Senator Mark Warner of the Senate Intelligence Committee described the dismissal of the cross as worrying.

He said, “This action reflects the dangerous habit of the Trump administration, in which intelligence information is weighed on the test of loyalty rather than the security of the country.”

Warner said, “We need such fair and fact-based information from intelligence agencies that show the truth instead of please the claims of the White House.” Dia works to gather information about foreign armies and provides this data to the War Commands of Pentagon.

After the US attacks on Iran’s three nuclear bases in June, the Dia report said that Iran’s nuclear program was impressed for only a few months. This report created a ruckus in the White House as the Trump administration was presenting it as a successful campaign.
