There was a huge explosion on Monday night at the Valero Oil Refinery located in Port Arthur city of Texas state of America, after which a massive fire broke out and black smoke spread in the sky. According to the report, people nearby heard a loud explosion, which shook their houses. After this, emergency teams immediately reached the spot. This refinery processes about 4.35 lakh barrels of crude oil daily and produces petrol, diesel and jet fuel. According to officials, the explosion occurred due to a malfunction in a heater. ‘Shelter-in-place’ orders have been issued in the western part of the city after the incident. People have been asked to stay indoors, keep doors and windows closed and follow the instructions of the administration. However, there is no news of any injury so far.
