The incident took place late Thursday night in Kardhna village of Simaria police station area, 110 km from the district headquarters. Panna ASP Arti Singh said that both the groups attacked each other in which Arjun Singh (60), Govind Singh (30), Dhoop Singh were killed.
Arjun and Govind were father and son. Dhoop Singh was their friend. All three were killed by hitting them on the head with sticks. As soon as the information was received, a huge police force reached the spot. The village was transformed into a cantonment.
On Friday, Additional Superintendent of Police Arti Singh, Pawai SDOP Saurabh Ratnakar also reached the spot. One accused Tilak Singh has been arrested. The other accused Gyan Singh is absconding.
After the triple murder, the situation in the village remains tense. People are also in panic.
