The audience still remembers the sad ending of Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri’s love story in the film ‘Rockstar’. But the film’s director Imtiaz Ali has recently revealed that Heer’s death scene was not there in the initial script of the film. Heer’s death was not in the original script. According to the news published in Hindustan Times, Imtiaz Ali told during a fan meet that when he first wrote the story of the film, he had kept Heer’s character alive. According to him, he had prepared the entire script of “Rockstar”, but that draft got lost somewhere. Later, when he got a chance to make a film, he had to rewrite the script. The ending changed in the rewritten story. Imtiaz Ali told that while writing the script for the second time, the tone of the story changed. He took inspiration from the famous love story ‘Heer-Ranjha’, in which Heer dies first. Inspired by this, he kept Heer’s ending sad in the film too. In the film, Nargis Fakhri’s character Heer Kaul eventually dies due to illness. Ranbir Kapoor’s character Jordan then appears as a broken artist whose pain is reflected in his music. Ranbir Kapoor played the role of a struggling singer named Jordan in the important film of Ranbir Kapoor’s career, “Rockstar” released in 2011. The music of the film was composed by A.R. Rahman and its songs are popular even today. Even though the film received mixed reviews at the time of its release, it became a cult film over time. Ranbir Kapoor’s acting and the film’s emotional story were highly appreciated by the audience and critics. After this revelation by Imtiaz Ali, the discussion has started again among the fans that if the original script had remained intact, perhaps the ending of “Rockstar” would have been completely different.
