Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer film Thaama is being released on the special occasion of Diwali on 21st October. The makers hope that the film will get the benefit of Diwali release, although there is no special excitement among the public about the film. Now, even before its release, the Censor Board has taken a big dig at the film. The Censor Board has objected to many objectionable scenes of the film and has suggested changes in it.
According to a recent Bollywood Hungama report, the Censor Board has demanded changes in many objectionable scenes of the film, including the scene in which realistic sound has been used for drinking blood. It is suggested to reduce this sound to approx. Apart from this, the word Alexander will have to be used in the film instead of Alexander.
Makers will have to make changes in these scenes also
- In a scene shown in the second half of the film, there is the dialogue ‘Azadi Dunga’, which has to be translated as ‘Ayyaashi Karta Hoon’.
- The Censor Board has demanded to reduce a long kissing scene by 30 percent, which will cut the scene by 5 seconds.

Cropping the film can cause damage
These changes happening at the last moment of the film can have a complete impact on the film. The scene looks awkward due to change in sound, while the makers may find it difficult to change dialogues like Sikandar, Aayyashi Karta Hoon, because the shooting of the film was over long ago. These changes will make it difficult to lip-sync, which may look awkward.
With the change, the Censor Board has given the film a U/A 16+ rating. That means people below 16 years of age will not be able to see it. Now the run time of the film is 149.59 minutes i.e. 2 hours 29 minutes.
Clash may cause loss at box office
Advance booking of the film Thama has started, although till now the profit from advance booking has been only about Rs 5 crores. Which is less in terms of Diwali. The box office clash of this film will be with the film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, whose advance booking has been Rs 1.5 crore. Even on social media, the craze of one crazy person more than the other is being seen.

The film Thaama has been made on a big budget of around Rs 145 crore. In such a situation, the film will have to collect more than Rs 10 crore to meet its budget.
