204 retired military officers, IPS, IAS and lawyers have written an open letter to Rahul Gandhi asking him to apologize to the country. He wrote that the protest held in the Parliament complex on March 12 was against parliamentary rules and the dignity of Parliament. They were protesting there taking tea and biscuits. Dignity is necessary in every part of the Parliament complex. It was said in the letter that Parliament is the temple of democracy and its dignity should be maintained at all times. According to parliamentary traditions, not only the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha chambers, but also the stairs, corridors and lobbies of the Parliament complex are part of the same institution. Therefore, the conduct of MPs there too should be in accordance with the same decorum. The letter said that such incidents degrade the level of public discussion and damage the credibility of democratic institutions. Signatures of 204 people on the letter: This open letter is written by former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir S.P. Vaid has issued. 204 people have signed the letter. These include 116 retired military officers and 84 former bureaucrats. Apart from this, four former ambassadors and four senior lawyers are also among those who signed. In the letter, Rahul Gandhi has been asked to introspect on his behavior and apologize to the country. Shah said – Rahul is spoiling India’s image across the world.
