Ranveer Singh is in the headlines these days with the resounding success of his action thriller ‘Dhurandhar’. But a fake post has gone viral on social media, claiming that the actor has given a befitting reply to those trolling him in the ‘Kantara’ mimicry controversy. However, the truth of this post of Ranveer is not what the fans are understanding.

A long message was shared in the viral post in the name of Ranveer. It read, ‘The real victory is not the box office collection, but when the same people who insulted you for your ignorant behavior two days before the film’s release then pretend to support you a few days after the film’s success. #Dhurandhar #KantaraMimicry.

It is being told that Ranveer Singh has not made any such post. This is an edited picture and Ranveer never posted it. This post made from this account, which looks similar to Ranveer’s social account handle, is fake. After the release of the film, Ranveer had made only one cryptic post in which he had written, ‘Fate has a very beautiful habit, that it changes when the time comes… but for now… vision and patience.’

Let us tell you that in the IFFI 2025 closing, Ranveer mimicked Rishabh Shetty’s iconic ‘Divya’ scene from ‘Kantara Chapter 1’. He called Devi a ‘female ghost’, which created an uproar on social media. Trollers accused him of hurting religious sentiments and threatened a ‘severe’ boycott. Ranveer apologized, wrote- ‘My intention was only to highlight Rishabh’s performance, sorry if I got hurt’. An FIR was even registered against him in Bengaluru.

Then ‘Dhurandhar’ was released on 5th December. This spy thriller with Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal created a stir at the box office. This film has crossed the figure of Rs 1000 crore worldwide and thus the film has joined the Rs 1000 crore club. Dhurandhar has become the ninth Indian film to do so.
