1. PAK Army admitted for the first time- Our soldiers were killed in the Kargil war, Army Chief said- Thousands of Pakistanis sacrificed their lives for Islam

For the first time, the Pakistani Army has accepted the participation of its soldiers in the Kargil war. Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir said in a Defense Day program in Rawalpindi, “The Pakistani community is a community of brave people who know how to pay the price of freedom. Whether it is the war of 1948 or 1965, 1971 or the Kargil war of 1999, thousands of soldiers have sacrificed their lives for Islam and the country.”

For the first time an Army officer accepted this while in office: This is the first time that a Pakistani army officer has accepted the martyrdom of his soldiers in the Kargil war. Until now, Pakistan had been claiming that the Kargil war was started by the Mujahideen i.e. freedom fighters of Kashmir. Pakistan had no role in it.

Musharraf also admitted in his book: During the Kargil war, Pervez Musharraf was the army chief of Pakistan. Musharraf’s book ‘In the Line of Fire’ was published in 2006, in which he accepted the involvement of Pakistani army in the Kargil war. Musharraf had sent the soldiers of Northern Light Infantry in the war. Bajrang said- If you have courage then Brijbhushan should come to Haryana; Brijbhushan said- Vinesh and Bajrang are villains All India Kisan Congress chairman Bajrang Punia said, ‘If BJP leader Brij Bhushan Singh has the courage, he should come to Haryana and campaign for the elections. 3. Spacecraft returned without Sunita Williams, NASA had decided to bring it back empty due to a malfunction

The Starliner landed in the White Sand Space Harbor (desert) of New Mexico at 9:32 am on Saturday.

The Starliner spacecraft carrying astronaut Sunita Williams and her colleague Butch Wilmore to the International Space Station (ISS) landed safely on Earth. Sunita and Butch went to the ISS on an 8-day mission on June 5. But there was a leak of helium gas in the Starliner. Due to this, Butch and Sunita could not return. They will now return in February 2025, for this Space-X’s Crew Dragon spacecraft will be used.

Why Sunita-Wilmore was sent to the space station: The main purpose of sending both of them to the space station was to test the spacecraft ‘Starliner’ of private company Boeing. The astronauts had to do research and experiments on the space station for 8 days. Sunita and Wilmore are the first astronauts who were sent on space travel through the Atlas-V rocket. 4. Paris Paralympics: Javelin thrower Navdeep won gold, Simran got bronze medal in women’s 200 meter race

On the 10th day of Paris Paralympics, India won one gold and one bronze medal. Navdeep had won the silver medal in the javelin throw event of the men’s F41 category. But due to the disqualification of Iranian athlete Beit Sayah Sadegh, Navdeep’s medal was upgraded to gold. This is India’s first gold medal in the men’s javelin F41 category. This category includes those athletes who have short height.

On the other hand, Simran won the bronze medal in the 200 meter race in the women’s T-12 category. With this, India’s journey in the Paris Paralympic Games ended. India is at number 15 in the medal tally. The top-3 are China (208 medals), Britain (115) and America (98).

India won 29 medals: India won a total of 29 medals including 7 gold, 9 silver and 13 bronze medals. This is India’s best performance in any Paralympics, before this the country had won 19 medals including 5 gold in Tokyo. The closing ceremony of the Games will start at 11:30 pm tonight.

5. NRC receipt is necessary for Aadhar in Assam, CM Sarma said – it will help in stopping intruders Now all new Aadhar card applicants in Assam will have to submit the receipt number of their National Register of Citizens (NRC) application. This information has been given by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Sarma said that this step will help in preventing illegal intruders. This rule will come into effect from October 1. However, this rule will apply to the 9.55 lakh people whose biometric information was locked during the NRC process.

Reason for the new rule: CM Sarma said that more Aadhar cards were issued in Dhubri district than the population. In such a situation, there is a possibility that some suspicious people may also have got Aadhar cards. After this, this step has been taken. From January 2024 till now, 54 illegal immigrants have been identified in the state. Out of these, 45 people were sent back to their country.

47,900 foreign intruders caught in Assam in 43 years: The number of infiltrators from across the border in Assam is constantly increasing. The state government said on August 22 that more than 47,900 foreigners were caught in the state from 1971 to 2014. 6. The Center terminated the service of Pooja Khedkar, former trainee IAS had said- UPSC has no right to remove me

UPSC had filed an FIR against Pooja Khedkar for appearing in the civil services exam more than the prescribed number of times by changing her identity.

The central government has removed former trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar from the Indian Administrative Service. Pooja was accused of appearing in the civil services exam more than the prescribed limit by giving wrong information about her age, parents and changing her identity. UPSC found Pooja guilty in its investigation and cancelled her selection on 31 July. She cannot appear in any UPSC exam in future. On 28 August, Pooja had told the Delhi High Court that UPSC has no right to take action against her.

There is no information about how many UPSC attempts were given: Due to Khedkar’s case, UPSC examined the data of more than 15 thousand candidates from 2009 to 2023. It was found that apart from Pooja, no other candidate had given more attempts than the limit prescribed under the CSE rules.

Pooja had also appeared in the exam by changing her name and her parents’ names several times, so UPSC’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) could not track the number of her attempts.
