Former Regional Director of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) KK Muhammad has said that Muslims should leave two more historical places which are also temples. First- Mathura which is the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Second- Gyanvapi which is associated with Lord Shiva.
Speaking to news agency ANI, KK Muhammad said that these places should be handed over to the Muslims to the Hindu community to build a grand Hindu temple. Mathura-Kashi are as important for Hindus as Mecca and Medina are for Muslims.
However, he also suggested that the Hindu community should not go after every mosque except Ayodhya, Varanasi and Mathura. The leadership of both communities must agree on certain conditions.
KK retired as the Regional Director of North Zone of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in 2012. He was part of Bibi Lal’s team that excavated the Babri Masjid in 1976.
KK’s claim- Communist historians will poison the minds of Muslims.
KK said that you should not talk to communist historians on all these things because in the earlier case also, communist historians like Irfan Habib and some people from JNU had complicated the issue.
A section of the Muslim community was also ready to hand over the Ram Janmabhoomi because I had talked to many people. Therefore, we should not bring these communist historians, they will complicate the issue and poison the minds of Muslims.
KK Mohammad continues to receive threats even today
73-year-old archaeologist KK had told in an interview during the Pran Pratistha ceremony in Ram temple that he often faces death threats. He lives at his home in Kozhikode, Kerala.
KK had told – Popular Front of India was very active in Kozhikode till it was banned. Ever since KK has told about the findings from Babri Masjid, he has been living a life of danger.
Along with the judges of the Supreme Court who gave the verdict for the consecration ceremony of Ramlala, archaeologist KK Mohammed also received the invitation. But he could not go due to illness.
