Kanishka Narayan of Muzaffarpur has become an MP from Wales in the UK. He has won as a Labour Party candidate. 33-year-old Kanishka was in the civil service. After the announcement of the elections, he resigned from his job and entered the electoral fray. As a civil servant, he has worked with the then British Prime Minister David Cameron in the Environment Department.
Kanishka, who reached Britain at the age of 12, has become the first minority MP of Wales. He studied till third grade in Muzaffarpur. Father Santosh Kumar and mother Chetna Sinha moved to Delhi after completing their studies from SKJ Law College. After which Kanishka did his further studies there. When he was 12 years old, his parents moved to Britain and the family settled there.
After Kanishka’s election as an MP in Britain, his family is celebrating at his Sundu House home, while celebrations have begun at Sandho Apartment in Damuchak, Muzaffarpur. There is a festive atmosphere among his relatives at his ancestral home.

Kanishka had come to India two months ago
Late Krishna Kumar and Veena Devi, originally residents of Sondho in Goraul, Vaishali, settled in Damuchak, Muzaffarpur many years ago. Late Krishna Kumar was the chairman of the Muzaffarpur District Board and founder of SKJ Law College. Kanishka Narayan, son of Santosh Kumar, the youngest of his three sons, has been elected as an MP in the UK.
About two months ago, Kanishka had come to India with his parents to attend a family puja. But, due to election related work, he returned from Delhi itself. His parents, brother and other family members had come to Muzaffarpur.
Kanishka has become the first minority MP of Wales.
Increased the pride of the whole country including Muzaffarpur
Kanishka’s uncle Jayant Kumar, director of SKJ Law College, said that his nephew has brought pride to the entire country including Muzaffarpur. Kanishka’s father is my younger brother. Britain is his third home. Along with my brother’s family, my daughter and son-in-law also live there. They keep coming and going to family functions. Kanishka’s father Santosh Kumar and mother Chetna Sinha are solicitors in Cardiff Wales.
At the age of 12, Kanishka Narayan reached Britain with his parents.

Kanishka received higher education from Oxford and Stanford USA with a scholarship from Asian minority background living in Britain. As a civil servant, he worked with the then British Prime Minister David Cameron in the Department of Environment. He has also worked under Liztz.
