Actors Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Shweta Tripathi have completed the shooting of the Banaras schedule of ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’. The shooting schedule in Banaras lasted for two weeks.

Actor Pankaj Tripathi said about shooting in Banaras, “Mirzapur has given me one of the most memorable characters of my life. Shooting in Banaras, where it all began, felt like a spiritual experience in itself. The energy of this city is amazing, there is peace, hustle and bustle, devotion and drama as well. Every time I shoot here, my heart is filled with gratitude. The love that people have given us in this schedule, That was heart touching. Once again it was felt how deeply Mirzapur is embedded in the hearts of the audience.”

Banaras always feels like home: Ali Fazal

Expressing his happiness, actor Ali Fazal said, “Banaras has always felt like home. It is here that Guddu Pandit identified himself and found his true strength. Returning here for ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ brought back many memories, not just of past seasons, but also of the journey we have traveled as a team and as characters. Sharing her feelings, actress Shweta Tripathi said, “Every time I shoot in Banaras, it feels like life is completing a full circle. From ‘Masaan’ to ‘Mirzapur’, this city has seen many special moments in my acting journey. The role of ‘Golu’ is a story of strength, courage and growth for me and the vibe of Banaras makes that emotion very real.”

Shweta Tripathi played the character of Golu Gupta.

Shweta further said, “I really like being called Golu. This is not just a role, but a household name and is close to everyone’s heart. Golu has grown with me and it is amazing to see how much the audience loves him. The amount of affection and love that the people here gave us was very emotional.
