TV actress Mahhi Vij has recently broken her silence on the news of her and Jay Bhanushali’s divorce. There were continuous rumors spreading on social media that their relationship was over. Mahi termed these reports as false and said that if such false rumors continue to spread, she will take legal action.
Actually, recently a page on Instagram had shared a post regarding the breakdown of Mahi and Jai’s marriage. In which it was written,
Is it all over? After 14 years of marriage, news of divorce of Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij is coming out. According to sources, both of them have signed and finalized the divorce papers between July and August 2025. The custody of his three children has also been decided. A source told Hindustan Times, “A lot of efforts were made, but nothing changed. The couple had separated a long time ago. They had filed for divorce a few months ago.

According to reports, the major reason for the rift in their relationship was trust issues. Both were last seen together at daughter Tara’s birthday party. Mahi also said that people in the society have very different thinking regarding single mothers and divorce. He said that people often assume that in such cases there will be a fight or drama and the couple will blame each other. Mahi says that there is a lot of pressure from the society and she told people – “Just live and let others live too.”
Commenting on this post, Mahi wrote, “Don’t spread fake news, I will take legal action on this.”
At present, only Mahi has reacted on this matter. However, no statement has come from Jai’s side yet.
Actually, the news of divorce gained momentum when the couple stopped posting pictures together on social media. However, in August, both were seen celebrating daughter Tara’s birthday together. The couple had shown an inside glimpse of their daughter’s birthday by posting a collaboration.

Apart from this, in the early days of October, Jay Bhanushali had posted a video from Tokyo with daughter Tara, on which Mahhi Vij put an end to these rumors by commenting.
After the news of divorce came out in July, Mahi Vij had reacted to the news of divorce in an interview given to Hotterfly. He had said, “Even if it is so, why should I tell you? Are you my uncle? Will you pay my lawyer’s fees? Why do people make such a big issue out of someone’s divorce or separation?”
Jai and Mahi were married in 2011. Both of them adopted their house help’s children Rajveer and Khushi in 2017. Two years later, in 2019, Mahi gave birth to daughter Tara.
