INDIA Bloc has claimed that they lost the Maharashtra elections due to alleged EVM manipulation.
The opposition alliance is now preparing to approach the Supreme Court, alleging manipulation in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The decision to approach the Supreme Court against the Election Commission was announced by NCP-Sharad Pawar leader Prashant Jagtap on Tuesday. Jagtap had lost the assembly elections from Hadapsar seat of Pune.
The opposition alliance will file a petition in the Supreme Court on December 13 regarding irregularities in EVMs. This decision was taken after the meeting between opposition leaders on Tuesday. This meeting took place at the house of NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar. In which AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal and well-known lawyer and Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi also participated.
INDIA Bloc has claimed that they lost the Maharashtra elections due to alleged EVM manipulation. In the elections held last month, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance won 235 of the 288 seats, while the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance got 46 seats.

EC said- No mismatch between VVPAT-EVM in Maharashtra elections The Election Commission (EC) said on Tuesday that no irregularities have been found in matching VVPAT slips with EVM votes in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The Commission informed that on the day of counting on November 23, VVPAT slips of 4 booths of each assembly constituency were counted. No irregularities were found in this count. During this period, slips of 1440 VVPAT units of 288 assembly constituencies were matched.
Actually, the opposition parties had alleged irregularities in the results. Boycotted the swearing-in of MLAs on the first day of the special session of the Assembly. Earlier, opposition parties had alleged that the EVMs were tampered during voting and the votes were not matching with the VVPAT slips. 104 candidates from 95 seats had demanded the Commission to match EVM and VVPAT slips. According to the Commission, verification was demanded on 95 seats in 31 districts.
Matching of 1440 VVPAT slips According to the guidelines of the Election Commission, counting of VVPAT slips of 5 selected polling stations of every assembly constituency is necessary. The counting took place on 23 November, the day of the results, in the presence of Election Commission observers and representatives of the candidates. The Election Commission said that the count of slips of 1440 VVPAT units of 288 assembly constituencies of Maharashtra was matched with the data of the respective control units. No difference was seen anywhere.
Markadwadi controversy, due to which the opposition raised questions on EVM. The people of Markarwadi had conducted mock polling using ballot paper on December 3, but the administration had stopped it. The results of Maharashtra Assembly elections came on 23 November. NCP (Sharad) candidate Uttamrao Jankar had won from Malsiras assembly seat in Solapur district. He defeated Ram Satpute of BJP.
After the results, the people of Markadwadi village of Malsiras Assembly had claimed that most of the people of the village had voted for the NCP candidate, but according to the EVM data, the BJP candidate has got 1003 votes and the NCP candidate has got 843 votes. This is wrong.
The villagers claim that the BJP candidate cannot get more than 100-150 votes. The villagers had appealed to the local administration to conduct re-polling on ballot paper at their own expense, but this was rejected by the administration.
After this, alleging malfunction in EVM, the villagers themselves organized voting on ballot paper today. All preparations were made on 3 December. Even a polling booth was built, but the administration had stopped the villagers from voting through ballot paper. FIR was registered against 17 people.
VVPAT machine was used for the first time in 2014 VVPAT machines were first used in India in the 2014 general elections. It is made by Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL).
