A fire broke out in the Godavari Hostel of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Friday. Fire department officials said that there were no casualties in the accident. JNU Students Union (JNUSU) shared a video in which smoke and flames were seen rising from an electrical panel board.
According to Delhi Fire Service (DFS), the fire broke out in the air-conditioning unit. DFS official said, ‘We received the call at 10:18 pm. It was a minor fire, which broke out in electrical equipment. A fire tender was immediately sent to the spot, and it took 15 minutes to extinguish the fire.’

Earthquake tremors in Jammu and Kashmir, intensity was 4.0
Earthquake tremors occurred in Baramulla district of North Kashmir on Friday night at around 9.06 pm. Its intensity on the Richter scale was 4.0. Earthquake tremors were felt in many parts of Kashmir including Srinagar. Its center was at a depth of 10 kilometers in the ground in Baramulla in North Kashmir. However, there was no loss of life due to the earthquake.
