A bus collided with a tractor near Mumbai Express Highway. Due to this the bus fell into a ditch. Four people died in the accident, while many people were injured. All the injured have been admitted to the nearby MGM Hospital. DCP Pankaj Dahane of Navi Mumbai Police said that the bus was going from Kesar village of Dombivali to Pandharpur carrying devotees.

Rajiv Kumar has been reappointed as the DGP of West Bengal. He was earlier also the DGP of the state. After the announcement of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Central Election Commission removed Rajiv Kumar from the post. IPS Sanjay Mukherjee was appointed as the DGP of the state in his place. Rajiv Kumar is considered to be very trusted by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
