भास्कर अपडेट्स: पश्चिम बंगाल के नए डीजीपी बने पीयूष पांडे, कोलकाता पुलिस के कमिश्नर बने सुप्रतिम सरकार

A major change was made in the police department in West Bengal on Thursday. Senior IPS officer Piyush Pandey has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of the state. At the same time, Supratim Sarkar, who was ADG of South Bengal, has been made the new Commissioner of Kolkata Police.

According to sources, current DGP Rajeev Kumar is retiring on Friday. This important administrative reshuffle has been made in view of his retirement. The responsibility of the important department related to law and order has now been handed over to Vineet Goyal, who has been appointed ADG (Law and Order).

Along with this, the responsibility of the post of ADG STF of the state has been given to Javed Shamim. At the same time, former Kolkata Police Commissioner Manoj Verma has been made Director of Security.
